Delhi announces Rs 327 crore development for Jhuggi-Jhopri clusters

The Delhi government has approved Rs 327 crore worth of infrastructure development projects for Jhuggi-Jhopri (JJ) clusters, officials said.

The approval was given on Republic Day, and officials said Rs 144 crore worth of the projects have already been awarded, reported The Times of India.

Authorities said the initiative is aimed at improving basic amenities and living conditions in JJ clusters across the national capital.

Officials said work on the approved projects will begin soon and efforts will be made to complete them in a timely manner.
