Jaipur Bags Rs 918 Crore in New Development Projects

In a major push for urban development, Jaipur has launched and laid foundation stones for 99 projects worth Rs 918 crore across sectors like roads, power, health, education and city infrastructure, according to The Times of India.

Among the key initiatives is a Rs 218 crore elevated road linking Triveni Nagar and Gurjar Ki Thadi, aimed at decongesting core traffic corridors.

Projects are also underway in Sanganer and Mansarovar, with investments in water supply upgrades, healthcare facility improvements, and power enhancements.

Officials said the rapid rollout reflects the state’s emphasis on accelerating urban growth and tackling bottlenecks in civic amenities.

The new schemes are expected to improve connectivity, reduce daily commute pressure, expand healthcare access, and upgrade infrastructure in underserved areas.

Local representatives welcomed the announcements. “These projects will directly impact daily life — smoother roads, more reliable power, better health services,” one council member said.

Rajasthan’s government has tied these releases with its larger strategy of decentralising growth from Jaipur’s core and expanding benefits to peripheral neighbourhoods and satellite areas.
