RailParcel pilot launched in seven cities across India

Indian Railways has launched a RailParcel pilot project across seven cities, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Chennai.

The initiative is designed to improve parcel logistics by integrating digital tracking systems and electric mobility solutions.

The system uses a cloud-based platform to enable real-time tracking of parcels across the network, reported The Times of India.

Electric vehicles are being used for first- and last-mile delivery, supporting more efficient urban logistics operations.

Officials said the pilot aims to streamline parcel transport and improve operational efficiency across cities.
