Seven New Town Planning Schemes Approved in Ahmedabad

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has approved seven new Town Planning (TP) schemes covering nearly 1,000 hectares across multiple villages.

The new schemes will guide urban expansion in areas including Saij, Godhavi, Kaneti, Nidhrad, and Manipur. Officials said the plans are designed to ensure structured infrastructure development as Ahmedabad continues to expand its urban footprint, reported The Times of India.

Town Planning schemes typically provide a framework for roads, drainage, water supply, and residential layouts, allowing smoother land acquisition and urban growth.

The move is seen as part of Ahmedabad’s long-term urban planning, especially as the city expands its economic and residential base.
