Bhubaneswar police relaunch smart-city safety apps with upgraded digital features

Bhubaneswar police have relaunched the “We Care Saathi” and “Sarai 2.0” applications with upgraded digital safety and surveillance features.

Officials said the revised platforms include GPS-based emergency alerts, live video streaming and real-time guest verification systems.

Authorities indicated that the applications are aimed at improving women’s safety, digital policing and hospitality-sector monitoring.

A centralised digital dashboard has also been introduced to improve coordination of police operations, reported The Times of India.

The upgraded systems form part of broader smart-city governance and surveillance initiatives being implemented in Bhubaneswar.

Officials said the technology would help strengthen emergency response and monitoring capabilities across the city.
