Ujjain district to get new industrial infrastructure zone

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation is planning to develop a new 250-hectare industrial belt near Nagda in Ujjain district as part of efforts to expand industrial infrastructure in the region.

Officials said land identification and preliminary planning for the proposed industrial park are currently underway. MPIDC executive director Rajesh Rathore told The Times of India the project is aimed at creating organised industrial infrastructure to attract manufacturing units and generate employment.

The new industrial belt is expected to reduce pressure on existing industrial estates and provide additional land options for medium and large industries.

The proposed development will complement existing industrial clusters in the region, including Vikram Udyogpuri and the Medical Device Park, which have seen recent investments.
