Telangana positions Future City as global investment and employment hub

The Telangana government has said its proposed Future City project will be developed as a major global investment and employment hub as part of the state’s long-term urban expansion strategy.

Industries minister D Sridhar Babu said the project is intended to provide world-class infrastructure and attract domestic and international investment.

Officials indicated that Future City is being planned as a next-generation urban centre focused on economic growth, innovation, technology and sustainable development.

The project forms part of Telangana’s broader efforts to expand infrastructure and create new growth corridors beyond Hyderabad’s existing urban limits.

Authorities said the development is expected to generate employment opportunities while supporting industrial, commercial and residential expansion.

The state government has identified Future City as one of its flagship urban-development initiatives.

Officials indicated that planning and infrastructure development activities would be undertaken in phases.

The project is expected to play a key role in Telangana’s long-term economic and urban growth strategy.

The development highlights increasing competition among states to create globally competitive investment destinations.
