Pune to get Rs 40,000 crore growth hub infrastructure plan

A Rs 40,000 crore infrastructure plan has been approved for the Pune Metropolitan Region.

The plan focuses on metro expansion, road upgrades and industrial infrastructure development.

Metro lines under the plan are scheduled for completion between 2027 and 2029.

The proposal also includes 39 sewage treatment plants along the Indrayani and Pavana rivers, reported The Times of India.

The ring road project in the region has reached around 78 per cent completion.

The plan is aimed at addressing infrastructure requirements and supporting urban expansion in the region.

The projects are part of broader efforts to improve connectivity and civic infrastructure.
