Prayagraj’s 3.1 km Ganga bridge nears completion under ring road project

A 3.1 km-long bridge over the Ganga in Prayagraj is nearing completion as part of Ring Road Phase II.

The project includes a 2.1 km cable-stayed section and is designed as a six-lane structure.

Officials said around 90 per cent of pillar work has been completed, with construction progressing on remaining sections.

The bridge will connect areas including Nibi Kala, Chhatnag and Naini, forming a key link in the ring road network, reported The Times of India.

Once operational, it is expected to reduce traffic pressure within the city and improve connectivity across the region.

The project is part of broader infrastructure development aimed at easing congestion and supporting urban expansion.

Construction work has been carried out in phases, with focus on structural and approach road development.

The development reflects continued investment in road infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh.
