Piyush Goyal announces six skill development centres across Uttar Mumbai

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday announced the setting up of six advanced skill development centres across the six assembly constituencies of Uttar Mumbai, according to an official statement.

Goyal, the Union Commerce and Industry Minister, represents Uttar Mumbai in the Lok Sabha.

One of the centres, the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra, is already operational in Kandivali East, the statement said.

The remaining centres are planned in areas including Thakur Village and Shimpoli.

According to the statement, the initiative is expected to support the creation of over 35,000 jobs within 14 months.

The centres will focus on industry-ready and job-ready training, provide direct placement support and career counselling, and offer free training in future-focused skill domains.
