Nagpur to set up Rs 1.5 crore skill development centre in Besa

A skill development centre is planned in Besa, Nagpur, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore.

The project is supported by local MLA Chandrashekhar Bawankule and is linked to the National Urban Livelihood Mission.

The centre will focus on providing vocational training to youth and women.

Facilities will include spaces for training as well as support for small business activities.

Officials said the initiative is aimed at improving employment opportunities at the local level, reported The Times of India.

The project forms part of broader efforts to strengthen urban livelihoods.

Work is expected to be taken up following necessary approvals.

The centre is also intended to support self-employment and entrepreneurship.

The development reflects focus on skill-building within urban communities.
