MMRDA to get 33,954 hectares land for infrastructure projects

The Maharashtra government will transfer 33,954 hectares of land to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

The land is located across Thane, Raigad and Palghar districts.

The transfer will take place in phases.

MMRDA will use the land for infrastructure development and related projects, reported The Times of India.

The authority will also generate revenue from the land.

The state government will receive 25 per cent of the revenue generated.

The move is aimed at supporting infrastructure development in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
