Lucknow textile park project to be spread over 1,000 acres

Lucknow is set to get a PM MITRA mega integrated textile park spread over about 1,000 acres with an investment of around Rs 990 crore.

The project is being planned as an integrated textile ecosystem aimed at reducing production and logistics costs while improving operational efficiency.

Officials said the park will be supported by infrastructure including roads, power, water and logistics, reported The Times of India.

The Lucknow project is part of the central government’s PM MITRA scheme and is expected to be a key component of the planned network of textile parks.

Officials said the proposed park is expected to generate up to 3 lakh direct and indirect jobs and support textile manufacturing and allied activity in the region.
