Lucknow Green Corridor expansion gets Rs 1,000 crore approval

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved Rs 1,000 crore for phases 3 and 4 of the Green Corridor project in Lucknow, according to officials.

The Green Corridor project is aimed at easing traffic congestion in the state capital, which has more than 20 lakh registered vehicles.

Phase 1 of the project, between Basantkunj and Pakka Pul, is already operational, reported The Times of India.

Phase 2, which runs from Pakka Pul to Samta Mulak Crossing, is nearing completion, and preparations are underway for its inauguration in February 2026.

Phase 3 includes a proposed flyover from Baikunth Dham to La Martiniere Boys’ College, while a 2.2-kilometre flyover is planned under Phase 4 to connect the Green Corridor with the G-20 Road, improving access to Shaheed Path and Kisan Path.

Officials said completion of phases 2 to 4 is targeted by mid-2026.
