Cinema meets AI: LTIMindtree and IFFI join hands for tech-driven storytelling

Global technology and digital solutions company LTIMindtree has partnered with the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to launch India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) Film Festival and Hackathon. The initiative will take place from 20–28 November 2025 during the 56th edition of IFFI in Goa.

The collaboration, supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, aims to explore the intersection of cinema and emerging technologies. LTIMindtree’s BlueVerse CraftStudio and NFDC will jointly develop a platform for filmmakers, creators, technologists, and innovators to experiment with AI-driven storytelling tools and showcase creative applications of artificial intelligence in film production.

The event will feature AI film showcases, a 48-hour hackathon, and masterclasses on topics such as AI in film production, ethical storytelling, and creative technology. It will also include international participation from AI film festivals across the world, encouraging cross-cultural collaboration and recognition.

Festival Director and Jury Chair of the IFFI AI Film Festival Shekhar Kapur said:
