L&T secures water supply project in Guwahati

Larsen & Toubro has secured a project to develop a 24×7 water supply system in Guwahati.

Scope of work includes construction of a water treatment plant, pipelines, reservoirs and a SCADA system for monitoring.

The project falls within the Rs 1,000–2,500 crore category and also includes operation and maintenance for a period of five years, reported The Times of India.

Improving urban water infrastructure remains a key focus, with the project aimed at ensuring continuous supply across the city.

System management and monitoring are expected to be strengthened through the planned infrastructure.

The development is part of broader efforts to improve civic services in Guwahati.
