Fujiyama commissions 2 GW manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam

Fujiyama Power Systems Limited (Fujiyama) has commissioned a 2 GW power electronics manufacturing facility at Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh.

The facility will manufacture a range of power electronics products, including solar inverters, UPS systems and other related solutions, the company said in an exchange filing on Friday.

The Ratlam facility is part of Fujiyama’s large-scale greenfield manufacturing expansion project aimed at strengthening its integrated manufacturing capabilities across the rooftop solar value chain, the company said.

With the commissioning of the facility, Fujiyama’s total power electronics manufacturing capacity has increased to 4.2 GW, strengthening its ability to capture the growing rooftop solar market.

“As demand for rooftop solar solutions continues to grow across India, strengthening our manufacturing capabilities in power electronics enables us to deliver reliable, high quality products while improving operational efficiencies and supply chain integration,” Chairman and Joint Managing Director, Pawan Kumar Garg said.

The battery manufacturing facility at the Ratlam complex is also progressing as planned. The complex will further strengthen the company’s integrated manufacturing platform and support its long-term growth strategy, he said.

In May, the company commissioned a 2 gigawatt (GW) solar panel manufacturing facility at the Ratlam complex.
