East Delhi to get Rs 1,075 crore civic infrastructure boost

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta laid the foundation for infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 1,075 crore in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, according to reports dated February 17, 2026.

The projects include strengthening and improvement of 236 roads, along with construction of drains, bridges and foot-over bridges aimed at easing congestion and addressing waterlogging issues, reported The Times of India.

Officials said the works are intended to improve civic services in the trans-Yamuna region, particularly ahead of the monsoon season.
