Nagpur to Get Cactus Garden, Rock Garden and Adventure Park

Nagpur Municipal Corporation has announced plans to develop three themed parks — a Cactus Garden, a Rock Garden, and an Adventure Park — as part of its urban greening and recreation initiative.

The Cactus Garden, costing Rs 2.9 crore, will be set up on 2.75 acres at Barbate Udyan in East Nagpur, featuring a wide variety of cactus species, according to a report by The Times of India.

The Rock Garden, to be developed on six acres in Suyog Nagar, will include landscaped walkways, rock sculptures and green zones, at a cost of Rs 8.26 crore.

An Adventure Park is also being built at Surya Nagar within Lata Mangeshkar Garden for Rs 8.79 crore, offering adventure sports and open spaces for families.

Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Chaudhari said the project aims to balance sustainability, recreation, and environmental awareness while improving civic amenities and biodiversity across the city.
