Andhra Pradesh advances Rs 23,801 crore urban PPP pipeline across 16 cities

The Andhra Pradesh government is moving ahead with an urban infrastructure pipeline worth Rs 23,801.21 crore under its public-private partnership framework.

Officials said 50 projects across 16 urban local bodies are valued at Rs 5,717.21 crore, while five major projects under CRDA and AGICL account for Rs 17,484 crore.

The planned developments include the Amaravati Marina, Amaravati Eye, Sports City, ropeway systems and the Inner Ring Road, reported Deccan Chronicle.

Authorities said the initiative is intended to strengthen urban infrastructure, attract private investment and support long-term economic growth across the state.

The government has introduced dedicated urban PPP guidelines aimed at accelerating project implementation and improving financing mechanisms for municipal infrastructure.

Officials have maintained that municipal assets will not be privatised and that projects will be implemented through partnership models designed to expand infrastructure and service delivery.
