UPMRC awards Rs 124-crore depot contract for Agra Metro’s Corridor-2

Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) has awarded a Rs 123.96-crore contract to GHV (India) Private Limited for construction of a depot-cum-workshop at Mall Road, serving Agra Metro’s Corridor-2 (Blue Line) between Agra Cantt and Kalindi Vihar.

The contract covers civil construction, pre-engineered building (PEB) work, and electrical and mechanical installation for the depot facility, which will handle stabling and maintenance of trains running on the corridor.

The award adds to a string of recent contract and construction milestones on the Agra Metro network as UPMRC continues to build out infrastructure to support the city’s two-corridor system, aimed at easing road traffic in one of Uttar Pradesh’s most tourism-heavy cities.
