Lucknow airport expansion work to accelerate before peak travel season

Expansion work at Lucknow’s Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is set to accelerate ahead of the peak summer travel season.

Managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, the airport is undertaking this initiative to enhance passenger safety and improve operational efficiency.

According to officials, the recarpeting project is aimed at ensuring smoother landings and take-offs while reducing long-term maintenance requirements.

The project focuses on increasing terminal capacity and improving passenger handling infrastructure. Authorities are aiming to complete key components in time to manage rising travel demand.

The expansion forms part of a broader plan to upgrade airport facilities. Passenger traffic has been increasing, leading to pressure on existing infrastructure, reported The Times of India.
