Amul hits Rs 1 lakh crore turnover milestone with 11% growth in FY26

Dairy major Amul on Sunday said its total turnover rose 11 per cent in the last fiscal year to cross the Rs 1 lakh crore milestone, driven by better demand for dairy products.

In a statement, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) said the total turnover of the Amul brand crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark for the financial year 2025-26.

“The total unduplicated revenue of the Amul brand has increased by 11 per cent over a base of Rs 90,000 crore in 2024-25,” it added.

The turnover of GCMMF, which sells products under the Amul brand, grew 11.4 per cent to Rs 73,450 crore last fiscal from Rs 65,911 crore in the preceding financial year.

“The surge is powered by a massive product portfolio of more than 1,200 product packs, a vast distribution network, and a rapid adaptation to the evolving needs of modern consumers,” GCMMF said.

The 18-member district cooperatives in their respective districts sell products under the Amul brand. The turnovers of these 18 district cooperatives are not included in the GCMMF’s revenue.

Ashokbhai Chaudhary, Chairman of GCMMF, said, “Crossing the Rs 1 lakh crore brand turnover is a testament to the trust of millions of consumers and the tireless hard work of our 36 lakh dairy farmers.”

Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of GCMMF, said the federation is not just expanding operations globally, but it is expanding the very definition of what a farmer-owned institution can achieve in the modern world.

“We are ensuring that the fruits of technology and global trade reach the hands of the producers,” Mehta said.

GCMMF is the world’s largest farmer-owned dairy cooperative with 3.6 million farmers, responsible for marketing Amul milk and milk products across more than 50 countries.

It collects 31 million litres of milk every day and distributes annually over 24 billion packs of Amul products, including milk, butter, cheese, ghee, and ice cream, among others.
