Nagpur gets Rs 5,000 crore boost under Growth Hub plan

Nagpur has been allocated Rs 5,000 crore under the Growth Hub initiative, as announced in the Union Budget 2026, officials said.

The allocation is to be spread over five years and is aimed at supporting infrastructure development, industrial clusters, urban amenities, and economic growth in the city.

Nagpur has been identified as one of the key Growth Hubs along with other major cities. Officials said the funding will be used to strengthen the city’s role as a logistics and economic centre, given its central location, reported The Times of India.

The initiative forms part of a broader national plan to promote planned development and economic activity in selected urban centres.
