Andhra Pradesh minister invites Dubai investors, assures full government backing

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana has invited Dubai-based industrialists to invest in the state, assuring them of full government support and cooperation.

During meetings with several business leaders in Dubai, Narayana urged investors to explore the state’s business-friendly environment and participate in the upcoming CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.

“Dubai-based industrialists can be assured of full government support and cooperation for their investments in Andhra Pradesh,” Narayana was quoted as saying in a government release.

On the second day of his Dubai visit, the minister met the chairpersons and senior executives of Apparel Group, Transworld Group, Burjeel Healthcare, and Tabreed Company.

He briefed them on the state’s pro-industry policies, recent investment inflows, and ongoing development initiatives under the TDP-led NDA government.

During discussions with Apparel Group Chairman Nilesh Ved, CEO Neeraj, and CBO Kamal Kotak, Narayana invited the group — which operates more than 2,300 stores across 14 countries under 25 brands including Skechers and Tommy Hilfiger — to expand operations into Andhra Pradesh.

The minister also met Transworld Group Chairman Ramesh Ramakrishnan to discuss port development, logistics infrastructure, and investment prospects along the state’s extensive coastline. He highlighted ongoing port and airport projects and the government’s plan to develop Andhra Pradesh as a major logistics hub.

Narayana later met representatives of Burjeel Healthcare, where he outlined recent reforms in the healthcare sector and opportunities for collaboration.

The delegation also visited the headquarters of Tabreed Company, a global leader in district cooling systems. Narayana met CEO Khalid, CDO Philippe, and other executives, and toured the firm’s district cooling centre that serves landmarks such as Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.

He invited Tabreed to establish similar district cooling centres in Amaravati and other major cities in Andhra Pradesh.

The minister said the Visakhapatnam Partnership Summit in November would offer Dubai-based investors a platform to engage with government departments and explore new business opportunities across sectors.
