DMRC ties up with Mappls MapmyIndia to bring metro routes and fares to app users

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mappls MapmyIndia to integrate real-time metro information into the Mappls app, giving commuters easier access to routes, fares, and train timings.

Under the agreement, DMRC’s data will be incorporated into the Mappls platform, allowing its more than 35 million users to view details such as nearby metro stations, travel times, interchange points, and frequency of trains across the Delhi-NCR network.

DMRC Managing Director Dr Vikas Kumar said the partnership would make metro travel more efficient. “Delhi Metro is committed to enhancing commuter convenience through innovation and technology. The integration of DMRC’s metro data with the Mappls app will make travel across NCR smarter and seamless — enabling commuters to plan better, navigate easily, and save time,” he said.

MapmyIndia Co-founder and Managing Director Rakesh Verma said the data integration would be added to the app’s multi-modal transport feature. “Soon the DMRC data will get integrated into the multi-modal transport feature of the Mappls app, making travel across the Delhi NCR faster, smarter and seamless. The signing of the MoU with DMRC comes at the heels of the recent announcement by the Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Electronics & IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding an MoU between Indian Railways and Mappls MapmyIndia,” he said.

The collaboration will also expand Mappls’ public engagement tools, allowing users to report traffic congestion, accidents, parking issues, or waterlogging directly from the app. These reports will be shared with authorities for quicker response and improved traffic management.

The integrated system will help enhance public safety through real-time alerts on incidents and facilitate faster responses from emergency services. It is also expected to promote accessibility and citizen participation while contributing to smarter and more connected urban mobility across Delhi-NCR.
