Indore Inaugurates New Bridge and Culverts on Dussehra

On Vijayadashami, Indore marked a key infrastructure milestone with the inauguration of a reconstructed bridge and multiple new culverts across the city. The developments aim to improve connectivity and reduce congestion in busy localities.

According to The Times of India, the main bridge, rebuilt at a cost of Rs 6 crore, spans around 30 metres in width and 21 metres in length, replacing a century-old crossing between the Malwa Mill and Patnipura areas.

The inauguration was attended by Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLA Ramesh Mendola, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, and IMC Chairman Munna Lal Yadav.

Additional civic upgrades included new culverts in Ward 18 (connecting Ganga Nagar to Maruti Nagar, cost Rs 41 lakh), in Ward 19 (Sector C Chauhan Rolling Mill to Narwal), and in Kumedi village, where a culvert spanning a nullah was built at Rs 54 lakh.

Officials stated that these projects will strengthen infrastructure, provide long-term relief to commuters, and enhance overall urban convenience.
